Counseling Center Therapists

Taylor Woslager, CSW

(Offering Exclusively Telehealth)

  • Works with: anyone 13 and older

  • Offers telehealth

  • Focus includes: anxiety but will work with anyone!

“I recognized the importance of therapy and mental health care while I was in high school. I had a lot of friends and family members who struggled in secret; afraid to open the door to therapy and be vulnerable. From then on, I wanted to be the person that created a comfortable environment for anyone to communicate their mental health concerns, and reach out for help. My personal, educational, and professional experiences have helped me develop many meaningful skills that allow me to do just that.

I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Utah State University. I have experience working with teens engaging in court-ordered treatment and students from Ogden School District providing therapy in the school setting. I have also worked with many adults using telehealth services through a nonprofit organization. I have learned the importance of creating a therapeutic relationship with my clients, beginning where the client is at, utilizing communication skills, and creating safe spaces with effective support systems.

My passion centers around helping individuals, families, and communities reach their goals and achieve their full potential. I have worked with teens and adults throughout my professional career, and have loved watching individuals thrive and achieve their goals through guided support. I have worked with a variety of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, and more.

I currently have completed training in trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, and have completed courses in trauma care, CBT, and DBT. I use many different approaches in a therapy setting. I have experience using CBT,  acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I believe it is important to cater my approach according to the needs of the person in front of me.

Outside of the work setting I enjoy spending time with my dogs and other loved ones, reading, going on adventures outdoors, and crocheting.”

Brooke Worthington, CSW

  • Works with: anyone 13 and older; currently just individual clients

  • Offers telehealth

  • Focus includes: anxiety and depression

  • Favorite type of therapy: (1) I geek out over somatic and polyvagal theory because they teach us to trust what our body is telling us which reconnects us back to our present awareness and restores confidence in our inherent strengths and abilities. (2) Internal Family Systems (IFS), finally a way to explain why our personalities shift across contexts without applying pathology and validates the question “what happened to you?” rather than “what’s wrong with you?”

“I engage with each client from a strengths-based, person-centered perspective and believe that the numerous social systems we interact with can contribute to the choices we make and may lead us to become dissonant with ourselves.

I retired from the dental profession as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2021 when I returned to school at the University of Utah where I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work with an emphasis on mental health and School Social Work. While pursuing my education I worked at the University of Utah inpatient psychiatric unit and upon graduation had the opportunity to work at Ogden Regional Medical Center as part of their Alcohol and Chemical Treatment program. While I enjoyed interacting with the patients in the group setting I missed working with clients at a one-to-one level; because of my professional and personal experience I maintain an empathetic, non-judgemental perspective while also upholding ethical principles that guide the social work therapist’s role.

I moved to Utah when I was five and have been here ever since. In my free time, you might find me reading, drawing, watching movies, playing old-school video games, trying to spend time with my two grown children (who needs mom anymore!) or, just hanging out with my husband or one of my four pets.”

  • Specialized training in: EMDR, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Gottman techniques, CBT, DBT, Christian counseling, Eating Disorders

"I am a client-centered therapist and look forward to getting to know you and your unique story! I believe in the importance of providing a safe space where you can authentically be yourself as I support you in pursuing the goals that matter most to you. I look at every person in my office from a strengths-based as well as trauma-informed perspective; hard experiences in your life have impacted you, but you have the strength to overcome these challenges. I believe that trauma can include both big life catastrophes as well as smaller hurtful experiences that are both equally valid.

Throughout my years working in community mental health, I have developed skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). More recently, I have developed an approach that also considers the importance of addressing trauma stored in the brain through approaches like EMDR which help with the healing of relational, emotional and physical impacts of trauma and grief. I am additionally passionate about addressing couples’ relationship struggles through approaches like Emotionally-Focused Therapy that grow relational connection for the betterment of the relationship. Finally, though I see clients of all beliefs, I am able to provide christian counseling to those seeking a faith-based approach.

I have a bachelor’s degree in social work from Cedarville University as well as a master’s degree in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University. When I am not working, I enjoy listening to music, reading fiction, and swing dancing."

Nicholas Call, LCSW

  • Works with: anyone 21 and older!

  • Offers telehealth

  • Focus includes: those who experience chronic and resistant symptoms of trauma. I also specialize in working with therapists as clients!

  • Specialized training in: EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, and identifying protectors- our internal parts that work to prevent us from experiencing pain, ex: rationalizing our behavior to avoiding certain people or situations- and how to work through them.

“I always knew that my dream was to return home after school, to the community where I grew up, and serve that community in the best way I knew how - to impact the stigma of mental health and help others find their greatest strengths.I came to this work by way of personal and professional evolution. I am in recovery. I have also experienced mental illness. Both have stigmas. Both suck. And both have helped me find deep levels of peace, serenity, and grace. My goal is to help you find the ways mental illness (and addiction) can motivate, strengthen, and guide you.

I believe that to truly see change in how we feel and act within our world, we have to engage from the roots. This is why I focus on helping you heal rather than teaching you skills. Helping you face fears and address obstacles like panic, shame, pain, guilt, and inadequacy is one of my favorite parts of the work we will do. These obstacles drain mental energy and cloud thinking. You don’t have to face these obstacles alone. I believe that our greatest asset is our capacity to embrace everything that life has to offer - the good, the bad, and everything in between. I think that adversity can be a brilliant teacher if we’re willing to be taught. While I’m trained to provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families, I specialize in the treatment of trauma and the complex and resistant triggers and symptoms associated with that trauma.

I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is about understanding the connection between how you think, how you feel, your physical symptoms, and how you act at the present time. I am also trained in helping you uncover unconscious drives that come from your past. Our work together will move fluidly between the past and present so you can create a future that is fulfilling, meaningful, and intentional.

In our sessions, I'll show you how to be vulnerable and genuine by being that way myself. I'll laugh at your jokes. You can show me your favorite dog video or Star Wars meme before we start. You're as likely to find me sitting back in my leather chair wearing jeans and flannel as sitting perfectly poised in slacks and a tie. (Okay, who am I kidding? Much more likely.)  And then we'll get down to the hard work. Because therapy is hard work, for both of us. But it's also rewarding, fulfilling, life-giving work. I can't wait to share that with you. I bring all of me into my work. I am present and transparent, often reflecting personal examples that may illuminate a place where you are feeling stuck or to help you feel less isolated. Given this, if you're looking for a 'blank slate' therapist, we are probably not a good fit. I am right there with you.

I am the owner and Executive Clinical Director at Tree of Life Counseling Center.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Utah License 8573900-3501) and spend most of my days seeing clients and interacting with people in the office.  In addition to being a psychotherapist, I’m also an Assistant Clinical Professor and Field Instructor at several local universities such as Utah State University, Boise State University, Rocky Vista University and the University of Utah.

For three years, I worked as a Unit Clinician at Highland Ridge Hospital and Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. I provided individual, family and group therapy in a residential setting for emotionally disturbed adolescents, many of whom presented with dual diagnosis and co-morbid psychiatric disorders. I also worked as a Clinical Associate at Lifestone Counseling Center and Best Practice Counseling in Salt Lake City, where I learned how to help teenagers and young adults who had experienced significant trauma and adverse childhood experiences relieve their symptoms associated with those experiences.”
